Over the past few years, I have slowly
awakened to one of the greatest deceptions in the history of mankind. After years of digestive issues and fatigue,
which almost cost me my life at one point, I have discovered that many of the
foods in our basic North American diet are laced with toxins. The worst part is
that the brands we grew up and trusted are getting away with murder literally.
Companies like Kraft, PepsiCo, General Mills, Unilever, and countless others
are putting chemicals in our food that damage our health. They put a nice label
on the product and sell it as being healthy when in fact it is often not. Genetically
modified foods (GMOs) are bombarding our grocery shelves now as well. Our governments often turn a blind eye to
this as lobbyists from mega corporations pay off the government departments
that are supposed to protect the public. Even more tragic is the fact they are
poisoning our children from putting in toxic ingredients in baby formula,
chemicals in kids cereal, toxins in the vaccines given to kids, and toxins in
the snacks that many kids bring to school. Is there any wonder why rates of
autism, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, obesity and other health
issues are on the rise in children? And
then Big Pharma is there to make their money by prescribing Ritalin and other
mind altering drugs to children. Then when we are old enough we hear the claims
of big companies telling you that you are too fat and should drink diet pop
that is laced with aspartame. Aspartame is a toxin and now found in many food
products. I personally used to drink diet pop and gave it up a year ago. I used
to have chronic diarrhea from Crohns disease but discovered soon that after
eliminating aspartame from my diet diarrhea was gone. The components of
aspartame can lead to a number of health problems. Side effects can occur
gradually, can be immediate, or can be acute reactions. Did you know that there
are an estimated 80 health side effects from the consumption of aspartame?
Google it for yourself! We also live in
a generation that processed foods are everywhere. Processed foods cause chronic
inflammation and ruin digestion. Many diseases are caused by inflammation and
poor digestion.
I can’t believe they allow a vast amount of
toxins in our food. Most of these chemicals do not need to be there. Is this
done for a reason? I personally think there are many reasons. The main one is
corporate greed. They want to make the food product they sell as cheap as possible;
so they put less real food in their products and more toxins that are cheaper.
They can then put it in a fancy box and make it sound healthy to sell as much
as they can. They also put chemicals like MSG and high fructose corn syrup to
hook the consumer with addictive taste enhancers. I am starting to believe that
Big Pharma is connected to the Big Food companies. The more toxic our food is,
the more people will be dependent on medication. Do you see the pattern? Is it any wonder why many of the larger drug
stores have some of the most toxic food on their shelves? It is estimated that
over ninety percent of chronic illnesses in our society are caused by lack of
nutrition, poor diet and lack of exercise.
That is a staggering number! I
was a victim myself.
We need to start talking responsibility for
our health. I personally have. I refused
to be willingly poisoned by mega corporations. I am not buying into the
deception anymore. Taking care of my body is a passion of mine now. It is in
fact the temple of God. I want to stop
putting toxic food in my body that lack any nutrition and replace it with foods
that heal and nourish the body. I am not finished blogging about this topic. If

good sites as well. One piece of advice is to be careful and not fall for bogus
health claims online either. The advice I give is that don’t support anyone or
any company that puts greed and profit over the health of a fellow human being.
